Double-speed sounds!

Post by poodles »

Finally managed to get the whole route installed this weekend with no major problems so far. I must just say what an absolutely stunning route, (it's been said loads of times before I know lol); very well done to all those involved in making it :D

1 minor glitch I'm having... I've installed version 3.2 patch file which converts the custom sound files at clapham and waterloo, although when I get to these areas the sounds apear to be playing at double-speed! its quite funny to listen to actually, sounds like the station announcer has inhaled helium before going on shift!

anyone know how to sort this out?

thanks :)

Unfortunately that problem isnt one that is covered in the support pack / forum sticky. Someone else mentioned the same problem to me just last weekend. Maybe James Porter or Dave Corfield will come up with a solution. It seem to have only started since the patch which reduced some sounds from stereo to mono to stop crashes :(

Just in case he isn't watching this thread i'll drop him a PM for you. :)

Do U Have a Stand alone Sound Card or On Board?

I would advise you & all other with this route to get a Sound card I have found far better FPS & over all Sound improvements since fitting an £8 5.1 Card
Regards & Best Wishes

Hi
Possibly still says stereo in the sms files?..........take that line out and the sounds will play fine.
Cheers

Jon,

You know your stuff mate! There is a patch3-3 coming with some other minor fixes included, so the corrected sms files will be in that patch.
