Terry Thornton's locos

Post by dforrest »

Just to note that Terry Thornton's locos are beginning to re-appear on the BlueArrow download site.

In fact there are some new locos. Yesterday's (12/3) downloads included three that I had not seen here. Additionally, some of them seem to have updated .s and/or .ace files.

Free to the priveleged few...

I signed up for the BATS site a couple of weeks ago and still haven't been approved as a downloader. Perhaps they only approve people who buy BATS products... or maybe there is just a long waiting list!

Thats unfair comment Darwin, you do live at Hercies Road I assume? and you were approved the day you signed up.

The approval is pretty much immediate AFAIK. From what I remember, theres no confirmation email sent out (I didn't receive one anyway).

Try accessing it, you should be ok as you have registered.

Well I have just checked my e-mail and I have the original e-mail there telling me to click on the link and stating:
Once your email address is confirmed our moderators will be
notified to continue the activation process.
You will be notified by email of the progress of the process.
I can not find any subsequent e-mail from BATS so I guess it has got lost in the ether somewhere. Perhaps the nice people from BATS could send me another one so that I can start to download some of the goodies available.

OK. Let us all take a step back and a deep breath please.

DarwinS - if you have issues with the BATS download facility then please take them to the BATS forum or email support. Do not post comments here that could be viewed as hostile or dismissive of BATS.

Bluearrow : thanks for your concise and polite replies. Please can you check the email auto-reply for registration ? I don't have access to my registration emails so I can't verify the wording. If the auto-reply is
Once your email address is confirmed our moderators will be
notified to continue the activation process.
You will be notified by email of the progress of the process.
then your subsequent statement about not confirming approval does not really work since the email reply indicates more communication will be forthcoming.

Kindest regards

John
