I have a problem on the London & South East simulator when trying to explore route using a class 205 DEMU. I get an "failed to create cab view" followed by MSTS crashing.

I have to say that I'm not very impressed with this MSTS add on in terms of functionality and the seemingly total absence of support from the manufacturer.

If anyone has any (a) solutions to the above (b) details of where to get support from the manufacturer, I'd be very grateful!

Well in my experience Making Tracks have excellent after sales support. Have you looked at their website and forum at http://www.makingtracks-online.co.uk

Has that fault recently started to occur....or always?.
All of the DEMUs on LSE use a common cab...so if one type is working then they all should.
There is a patch available BTW.

Contact simulations is MT's publisher they are the ones that release the route for sale to the general public unless you order direct off MT and UKTS sites.

I've just run up my version of LSE and tried the two versions of the 205 , Blue Grey, and Blue. Each started up correctly.

They use an aliased cabview found in ..\\..\\MT_GP_common.cab\\Class_421_CIG

I wonder if you haven't inadvertently renamed that top folder to common.cab, or moved some of it's content into common.cab ?

if he has all he has to do is replace MT_GP_Common.cab in the line with common.cab, works all the time and saves folder clutter.
