Best overhead electric route?

Does anyone know what is the best overhead electric route who can get in Britain?
I am looking for an Intercity route (not commuter) that is set before Virgin has started using new EMUs.

I would say Thames-Mersey electric era
its set in the 60's but it works well with stock from any era

I think the
North West England V2 from Terry Cunliffe is also worth looking at, having a mixture of all that is of interest to UK train simmers !
