Welcome to the forums :D

There is a link towards the top right of the forum screen called search which could help solve your problem. There are a ton of threads on the forums about Thames Mersey. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this excellent route but it is very resource hungry and will make your PC work hard.

To help you there is a very useful utility called Trainstore. Download it from the link below. Then read the manual carefully. Once installed it will help greatly. Whilst you are in a downloading mood also download Conbuilder and Route Riter (also linked below). The combination of these 3 programs will greatly help your train sim experience.

Also, be sure to read the tutorials here and watch the videos here

Most of all have fun and don't be afraid to ask polite questiuons (after a quick search first please).

Also, did you run the batch file after installation. Its in the route folder. Did you make sure you had all the default routes available before you ran the batch file as it copies lots of files and if that operation fails the route wont work.

The most likely cause of a crash from what I remember is the huge number of preset paths included - 600+?. The advice at the time was to archive the majority somewhere safe until they were needed.
Of course Trainstore will do this for you anyway.
