The Springfield route is pretty good, it isnt based on anything, so you can pretty much put what ever you want on it and it doesnt have too look accurate :D...

If i remember rightly there is a Virgin 47 activity for the Dorset Coast. However the best 47 activity that I have ever done was LAD491's London Theater Excursion from the Wirral. The locos have a modified .eng file to make the driving more realistic.

Dedicated Class 47 route ie those that had booked 47 services on are,

Dorset Coast for passenger and freight.
Thames Mersey for the same
Mideast uk again passenger and freight
Scottish Central passenger + Freight
Highland Mainline
Swansea Camarthen.

Basically every UK route with a 1960's and over Era. Except branchlines

try the paddington to penzance

it is a bit sparce in the scenery line , but brother is it long .
you could thrash the wheels of a 47 with ease.

Thanks for the plug Mike - always appreciated :)

Ive done several activities using the Class 47 as its one of the few Diesels I actually like. As Mike says, if you fancy a long haul, the London Theater Excursion for Thames Mersey clocks in at about 3 hours. A mega 47 fix :)

Ive also recently done one for the Dorset Coast CD Version. Chemicals to Basingstoke. Another good thrash, but with a few challenges too :)

There's also MidEast. I did an activity called Tanks to Hitchin and Hornsey using 2 x Class 47's there. Another 3 hour run :( Its still available in its original form for versions up to 1.2, although i think Bob Latimer did a V1.3 and uploaded it under his name. Im currently working on a revised version now, but in the quest to make life more interesting / complicated, ive messed it up a bit and it needs a fair bit of debugging now :(
