Hi

Have you changed your graphics settings? There have been a number of posts about AE crashng when used with high resolution - needs to be 16 colour I think. If it's crashing at other times, you'll probably need to give a bit more detail.

run route riter, and conbuilder if you have them and check for errors unstore everything first though, if you have trainstore, then go into the kitchen put the kettle on the boil make everyone a nice cup of tea, go back to the computer. Now it should be up, test consists, wagons and engines for missing files. If there are errors in some consists like so and sos missing just either replace or delete errorneous consist.

Store everything up except for the required route stock and consists, and run again.

It certainly sounds like either a dodgy piece of stock or possibly a dodgy weather environment. On Dorset Coast at the moment their are a couple of pieces of stock which - if i pick them cause an immediately crash to desktop. Likewise setting the weather to Winter/Snow does the same when i open the consist editor.

I'd check all stock first :)
