Hi
Some else had this problem, since Railpage moved server, and there was a conflict with the users ISP....I don't know if it was resolved.
Best thing is to drop your provider an email and ask why you cannot see the page...as the site has been stable for a couple of months now.
Cheers

Works fine for me.

I find sometimes though, other websites work one minute, and then, when I click on a hyperlink, it doesn't load - it displays: 'The Website is not responding' (I have AOL 9.0, Microsoft Windows XP and a Broadband DSL connection) I can't find what's wrong.

Thanks Martin...
still no luck... I have tried again from your link with IE and Firefox.. and firewall de-activated... = 'Page unavailable'... 'timed out'.. 'unable to connect'... :o
Can't work that one out... 2 weeks ago worked a treat..!!!.. no change to provider etc.. (Tiscali 2Mb broadband..)
Oh well.. I have wasted enough time .. for the moment..I'll try sneaking up one day when it doesn't expect me to.. :D

I had the same problem in June last year http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... highlight= I never actually found out what the problem was, but it resolved itself in the end. There may be some useful info in the thread linked to above.

I can't get on either- it must be something Railpage has changed since I used to have no problems.

The guys who can't connect need to talk to their ISP. I use Blueyonder from Telewest. Last year they extended their allocation of IP addresses into some completely new ranges due to the expansion of their customer base. Before that I had a 62.xxx.xxx.xxx address and suddenly I acquired by DHCP an 82.xxx.xxx.xxx address and all sorts of sites suddenly stopped responding.

On the internet there is a concept known as "bogon filtering" see here. When Telewest started allocating new IP addresses in a previous unused subnet many hyper-paranoid ISPs / websites rejected the traffic. Many complaints ensued but Telewest had no magic wand. In each case the ISP / webhost had to be contacted by Telewest admins to allow the traffic and enable access.

That is my advice - I stand to be corrected by more knowledgeable members but talk to your ISP support / abuse contacts.

Cheers

As EasilyConfused says it cannot be any change that Railpage have made as many of us can still get to the site - the problem almost certainly lies with your ISP,
