Hello
I've made some activities for the highland mainline route. But with the last two, I've got a problem I never had before : when I'm driving my train during the test, the penalty brake applies when I reach 77 mph, even if the line speed limit is 80 mph or 90 mph. This problem happens with the First scotrail 156, and the sleeper with class 67.
Anyone has an idea to help me?

It is probably the way the engine file is set up. Take a look at this thread. After the first few posts it gets into what I suspect the problem might be.
Have a search on the forums for "penalty speed" and about 20 threads come back. I am sure you will find the answer in there somewhere.
Cheers
John

The newest version of Highland Mainline has some faster speeds and the start speed at Inverness has been changed to default meaning AI traffic wont move at 15 mph all the way South if you start it at Inverness.
All track on the new extension has been laid as far as Keith heading for Aberdeen soon!

No problem. That is what we are all here for - to help each other and further the enjoyment of train simulation.
Searching for the answers to some of the questions on these forums has taught me more than casual browsing ever did. I never knew about the AI train bug where they don't accelerate if they start in a low speed station speed limit. That really foxed me for a long time until LAD491 explained it in a post to someone else earlier this year
Best wishes to all members - new and old - and I hope a great year in 2006 awaits us in the MSTS + 2 new simulators era.
Kindest regards
John
