Atlanta-Macon Activity testers needed

Post by codrivermike »

I have just created an activity for the Atlanta - Macon route. A Piggyback from Atlanta Intermodal yard to Macon taking the Eastern loop through Jackson. If you already have the route you will already know that it came with pleny of paths but no activities. Well here's one for you.

If you havn't already got the route. What are you waiting for? It's fantastic.

Anyways, Is there anyone out there that would like to test it for me? If so drop me a PM with your e-mail and I'll send it over.

Regards

Michael.

It's available from http://www.train-sim.com.

I'll give it a go.

The route is in compressed in RAR format so I have to figure out how to decompress that. Usually I pass on non-standard formats - ZIP files are OK and EXE but RAR is not something I usually work with.

It is very similar to using zip files. you just need to download winrar. Make sure that you only select it to handle that type of file though. ie don't allocate it to your .eng files etc.

Thanks for the advice. The route is downloading now. A fair bit to go. Won't have much time before Wednesday night due family and work commitments but if you want to PM me the APK file then feel free.

Downloaded the route and WinRAR. Just what is the point in putting ZIP files into RAR files ?

Cheers

I've found that quite a few Europeans favour WinRar over WinZip. I cannot see the advantages compared to WinZip but that's just foreigners for you.

Well the route is downloaded and running through Route-riter now. Please send me the APK file and I will test it as soon as I can.

Apart from the usual questions, have you run the installme.bat file and have you checked it through RouteRiter. There's not much more I can suggest.
Anyone else out there got any ideas on this one?

Ran the install bat loads of times, checked the route in RouteRiter it came up with 2 errors which it fixed but still the same results.

SO the route is now where it belongs as far as im concerned in the bin.

That's a shame Terry. It's a cracking route. There's got to be a solution. Unfortunately I'm no expert on installations though.
