Two new BCD activities

Post by kieranhardy »

Are these activities definately for Burton-Derby cd. Two reasons why i ask.

1. I havent seen or used Brittania on the route (although i havent tried out all the locos yet) so does this need to be downloaded?

2. I didnt think St Pancreas was on the route :-?

Thanks

1 its for the CD, you wont need to download anything locowise...but you will need to download and install patch 5 for this to work
2 it isn't.....just the service train you drive started there....

Mick has got another activity ready for the route, but not uploaded yet, which is Part 2 of the class 44 Coal activity - He's had a few concerns over the amount of AI traffic (loads) and may be doing a bit of fine tuning before putting it out - all with default Stock off the CD.

Cheers

The files are in

Invalid File ID [12954]

then just drag the files into your loco's folder in trainset

Cheers

John

Sorry just put corrected file id in :)

Kieran

How high are your settings - the main location that will slow fps rates down a bit are the Junctions just to the north of Derby station and round St Marys Yard

Try saving the sim before arriving Derby then reduce the settings a little on the saved game and see if this helps

Or save as said above, exit back to the desktop then reload trainsim and your saved game, MSTS doesnt use the memory very well.

Kieran

If your running low on memory as Don suggests, do a search on google for Rambooster [its a freebie], set the slider to the maximum amount of memory and the options to launch at startup.

When approaching Derby press Alt+tab to bring up your desktop left click to run now and your memory will be restored ( I normally get back to 73% from anything below 45%), return to MSTS and you should be able ta carry on without saving

Thanks for the help :)
Ive downloaded Rambooster and i have to say that it has improved my train sim a lot (specially on burton-Derby) it doesnt jerk as much except for busy bits but i dont mind about that.
I havent reached the bit after Derby station yet as ive been busy doing work (maths exam on tuesday and friday  ) but i did manage to do the diesel one earlier and managed to complete that with no probs. I will try the steam one some time tomorrow and ill post here if i have any problems.
Thanks again :D

Do you use Windows XP because it has been stated in a previous post that Ram boosters will not have any noticeable effect if you do.

I have Windows ME (the worst system of them all) but it has made a difference to my train sim. :)
