Has anyone else encountered this error?
When I stop at a platform with a passing loop, I run round the train and couple up at the other end. However, the brakes on the train don't come off, so the engine is pulling but the consist isn't moving. Is this supposed to happen, is there a patch or a solution?
Problem with running around trains

Check that they have the same coupling type and more importantly the same brake type..
Use Routeriter for that..

Hi Ianianmacmillan wrote:Have you got the 1.2 MSTS update.
This corrects the problem of not being able to realease the brake with the front coupling.
I didn't know that........I thought that was why a lot of vacuum stock had to be made through piped?
Cheers

Hi Ianianmacmillan wrote:The reason for making stock thru piped is to release the brakes on any fitted vehicle behind it.
When you shunt off fitted stock MSTS applies the brake and there is no way to "pull the string" to release it.
Thats what I thought....but you were saying the update fixes this.
