GWR Engines Request

Post by Greenrail »

Hi

Out of all the Great Western engines will there be a county 4-6-0,
4-4-0 Duke Dog and a 94xx pannier tank in GWR and BR all of these locos would fill in a missing gap.
Would that be possible?

Thanks

Tim from trainsimfiles.com has had a 94xx on the stocks for a while, and I recall a freeware County being previewed on this site some time ago.

The only definite on your list is the Dukedog, which will be in the Cambrian 2 route from 3DTS due around year end.

The Dukedogs or Earls were a Duke boiler mounted on a Bulldog frames
the citys were a larger loco with differnt size driving wheels and stronger frames and a tapered boiler

No its not its a taper boiler not a Parallel boiler .
if you look at a picture of a "Dukedog" it has a large dome A City has not.

I saw her at Exeter and Dawlish during the anniversary run and i can assure you there is nothing wrong with COT, the loco is bound to be a little light footed as she's only a 4-4-0, but in good weather with a good driver she's still capable of a damn good run.

No problem hauling our train when I was up there in July. The City class had large drivers meaning they were built for speed and not acceleration. But on today's preserved lines speed is not needed.
