Arriva trains northern isn't a railway company, it's a disaster! get it right next time, gents...
Romance! The season tickets mourn,
HE never ran to catch his train,
but passed with coach and guard and horn,
and left the local, late again!
Confound Romance, and all unseen,
Romance brought up the 9:15!

not lets be fair to them here, they ARE a disaster but they have a damn good go at attempting to be a train operator
(any chance of a slagging off Arriva forum Matt)

Just to have a dig at another operator for a moment.
I have got the new Summer Timetable for GNER (I have not checked Mon-Fri or Sundays) but the last train for London on Saturdays leaves Doncaster just before 9.30 pm and the last train from London departs at 9.15. Hardly late night services.
Why have I got the GNER Timetables, cos I have been inputting them into Rob's GNEReastcoast route!

Nene Valley tunnel at Wansford is allegedly haunted, as many who work on the line will tell, hadnt seen anything myself but its damn spooky in there.
The home owner on the former Stamford and essendine railway at belmesthorpe Rutland late at night years ago reported hearing al loud rumbling noise in the middle of the night on numerous occasions
The house was built on the embankment over the river Guash next to the old level crossing and station in the village.

the only difference been in the real world it is haunted (allegedly) by the navvies who built it and the old Wansford station cat

When I were a kid, Immingham Depot used to be impossible to get round for trainspotters. However, a driver there told me there was a smokie Grey cat that lived at the depot and the depot foremen were very fond of it and adopted it as their depot mascot. I learned that by asking if it would be at all possible to take a photo of the cat, I invariably got given a guided tour with a driver while looking for the cat - and got the numbers and pics that I wanted
I wonder if the cat haunts the depot now...
