Arriva trains northern isn't a railway company, it's a disaster! get it right next time, gents...

not lets be fair to them here, they ARE a disaster but they have a damn good go at attempting to be a train operator  (any chance of a slagging off Arriva forum Matt)

Well I'd join that debate. AVN have made the biggest mess of Northern England train services to date, I'm surprised they are still in business.

Well I can't disagree there...

When you can't get a train going south from Sunderland at 8pm in the evening there's something very wrong.

Just to have a dig at another operator for a moment.

I have got the new Summer Timetable for GNER (I have not checked Mon-Fri or Sundays) but the last train for London on Saturdays leaves Doncaster just before 9.30 pm and the last train from London departs at 9.15. Hardly late night services.

Why have I got the GNER Timetables, cos I have been inputting them into Rob's GNEReastcoast route!

Make that 0818 Kings Cross, 1440 at Edinburgh. Late Railtrack timings!

No, Claire voyant is my sister - she works in the Railtrack timings department! As for seeing ghosts, I might make the effort to get a shot of it on saturday and post it here!

The house was built on the embankment over the river Guash next to the old level crossing and station in the village.

When I were a kid, Immingham Depot used to be impossible to get round for trainspotters. However, a driver there told me there was a smokie Grey cat that lived at the depot and the depot foremen were very fond of it and adopted it as their depot mascot. I learned that by asking if it would be at all possible to take a photo of the cat, I invariably got given a guided tour with a driver while looking for the cat - and got the numbers and pics that I wanted :D

I wonder if the cat haunts the depot now...
