Blackpool 1.3 activity

Post by ilovequo »

Hi All

I have got the Blackpool 1.3 route installed on pc.

I run MSTS thru Train Store.

When I click on the activity Blackpool Festival of Trams it comes up with the following error message

Report/Error/Warning List

Error: - Item No. 1
The following File was not found
File: 'FELTHAM\felthamtram.ENG'

When I go to the Trainset folder in MSTS I can find a folder called FELTHAMTRAM with the felthamtram.ENG in it.

Is this folder the same folder as the one mentioned in the error report (in error report it says FELTHAM and not what I have which is FELTHAMTRAM.

I hope that makes sense.

Hi Dave,
I'm relatively new to MSTS as well but try this as it's happened to me loads of times....it should work ok.
Go to your Blackpool routes folder and in the activities folder open up the
Blackpool Festival of Trams.act file in wordpad. Click on the 'find' button and input FELTHAM in the search line and click the find next button...keep clicking this button and it will find all the references in the act file where it mentions FELTHAM....each time it highlights an occurance try adding TRAM at the end of FELTHAM...it sounds like a typo in the act file....MSTS is looking for the .eng file in a folder called FELTHAM but can't find it because it's labeled wrongly in the act file....it should be FELTHAMTRAM

hope this helps
regards

The other place it could be Dave is the actual consist file itself, in the consist folder in the trainset folder....again open it in wordpad or similar. Look to see if it's written as FELTHAMTRAM rather than just FELTHAM.

Or better still, get yourself a copy of Activity Analysis from http://www.eto-software.de/index.htm It will make the change for you without messing up anything else.
