The Deltics CD by Mark Shipman

Post by degzc »

Hi guys,

I would like to convert all the GP38 cabs to genuine Deltic cabviews.

The readme refers to using the PC Format/Kuju cabview to do this but after a bit of searching I can't locate anything about this file. :(

Has anyone got any helpful clues as to where I can obtain it? :D

It was a Brit Magazine Cover CD way back, and the files are not freeware, so not copyable.

It was PC Format January 2002 according to the readme, I had it, now cannot locate it!! If memory serves it wasn't all that good anyway!!

Puzzled tho..........as cabs by Bob Peach WERE included in the Deltic CD.

If they were also posted on site, only a wheelslip lamp correction exists on this site now...............

But did you really mean you were using the GP38 cab???

I think so too. I have a deltic cab in my common.cabs directory and I linked that to all my Deltics from the Mark Shipman CD.
Kindest regards

Some thing like

cabview (..//..//common.cabs//deltic//deltic.cvf)

and edit the cvf file to read

../../common.cabs/deltic/front.ace

../../common.cabs/deltic/right.ace

etc for all the graphics lines.

NO!!!! :o Dave, I didn't even install the Deltics when I read that the cab was a GP38 which is why I was trying to find a genuine cab in the first place. I realise that I could have used Bob Peach's excellent 37 Class cab but it still wouldn't have been the same as having the real thing.
Thanks anyway Dave. :D

Just to be really sure what we are saying here, the Mark Shipman Deltic CD contains a specific Deltic Cab (not a 37 or anything else, tho it was used to make facimilies of these later) based on Kuju's Mag offering, but with a main dial panel from a photo of a real one.

The CD installs this cab to "common.cab" and all the Deltic's alias it as installed. No more work req'd unless you want the patch for improved wheelslip lighting.

The Deltic CD as installed does NOT use the GP38 cab. Read the html readme with the CD.

It also has unique purpose made sound from a real Deltic, not just solely Kuju's US offerings.

I have just re-installed it to a clean MSTS copy to prove it.

I don't have the Mid East CD, but doubt very much that it would have contained anything different????

Deltic cabviews

Post by delticcity »

I found a collection of Deltic cabview files with different views for green and blue liveries, single or twin wipers, original or plated side windows etc. Installation was easy but unfortunately I cannot locate these files in the file library so assume they have gone. This was within the last year. I will try to find the file id for you.

File number(s) 6409, 6411, 6417 all shown as 'no longer existing' in 'My Downloads' list. The deltic cabviews were by 'Delticbob', who no longer creates for msts.
