Personally i think the hertford loop should be a seperate route alltogether then the Simmers that like slow boring commuter routes Can quite merrily have it without having a mainline to worry about.

Short commuter routes are as bad a HSL's once youve done a return trip its pointless doing it again.

Semi fast commuter routes like great eastern and LSE are good as speeds are greater than on the hertford loop were speed on there is an average 35mph for a 60mph top line speed. so really by the time ones gone from Moorgate to Finsbury park top speed 45mph average speed 25 mph, the Finsbury park to Alexandra Palace tops 75 ave 50, then Alex - Hertford - Stevenage tops 60 ave 35, i think id be cheesed of halfway through, but its a route and i can see the potential for the commuter lovers, dont forget there is a oil terminal on the loop at the stevenage end.

Well, if they are both put together, they work for both people don't they?
And has anyone started on the NSE 313 yet? I don't think Kings Cross should be included, just the Moorgate, Letchworth and Hertford North destinations should be good enough, and also Welwyn Garden City, but not Kings Cross, none go in there anymore.

Thought the 313s went to 'The Cross' at weekends when Moorgate is shut? Or has that changed?

With regard the Hertford argument, including Bowes Park and the Bounds Green turnback siding would have been an interesting and small addition.

I've seen 313s at the Cross quite recently ( October 05 ).......

Also, if you want a NSE 313 so badly, why not have a go yourself? Theres several reskinning tutorials.....
