I have just installed this the route from this site http://home.hccnet.nl/r.wiggerts/
And I have run the install bat file 3 times but im getting the msg
Train world initialization failed.

Have you down loaded the x tracks, new roads and the missing shape fix, the instructions tell you down load them.

You can find them on the front page to the right.

Yes I installed all the the downloads, but im still getting the same msg
what else can I try

TWI is always due to problems in the Environment files. In particular, entries in the .trk file must match those in EnvFiles folder.

Thanx for the advice Derick, but not quite sure what I have to look for this is a copy of the trk file.

Notice the correspondence.

..... forgot to mention. The route you have uses Kosmos to generate the environment. Do you have that installed?

Thanx Derick, no I dont have Kosmos will install it and get back to you.

Checked the trk file and the env file and all is correct, also installad Kosmos but still getting the same error.

Can you take a screen copy of the EnvFile entries and post it here?

an afterthought.... in your MSTS Advanced Options (video) screen... is "Textured Skies" checked?

PS You could always change your entries to look like the ones above (for the GWR route).

I won't disagree with any of the information given (definately enviroment problem) .....but the route does not require Kosmos.
Terry if you have Route Riter...then get that to check the route...there were a few missing files when I installed it.

"Textured Skies" was not checked so as soon as I put the x in the box that worked but I got other error msgs which are as follows,

Global\shapes\Tram_A2t100mstrt.s
To start with I only put that file in the shapes folder in the route but as soon as I put the file in the Global shapes folder in msts I am now getting the following errors

No extended shape data for Tram_A2t100mstrt.s

shape failed to load Tram_A2t100mstrt.s

Global\textures\a clean track IT.ace

Ran the route through route riter all it found was missing sms files which it fixed.

Also noticed im getting no ok to procced msg or text captions even though its turned on.

And in the activity called Beneluxtrein Klaarzetten the act loads up ok but unable to use any of the function keys to drive the train but im not to botherd about that act as its only 10 mins long any way.

Thanx for all the help and advice just a few bits and pieces to sort out then all should be fine

I didn't put that file in the global shapes.....I don't think you need to.
