Route Installation Problems

Post by geebeeuk »

Hi all,

Having joined UKTrain sim a while back, Ive boosted my collection of locos and rolling stock to a good level and am now trying out some of the routes available.
Unfortunately Ive had a lot of problems with several, including Scottish Central, Warrington, and South Eastern branch line. Its the system of extracting all the z0* files with the first zip file in the series. I just keep getting error message saying the next file is the same as the last, or corrupted or whatever. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a common problem? Hope someone may be able to shed some light as I'd love to try out these routes.

Regards, Graeme.

Hi
Welcome to the forums. :P
These types of spanned zip file, require the use of winzip 8.1 or above.
or (I think) Route Riters zip manager can do them.
Cheers
Jon

Also carefully read the installation instructions which should either be included with the downloaded files...or might be on the info page in the download area of the website.

One point to note is that you may need to rename the component parts of the spanned zip by taking off the UKTS standard file name bit of the file name.

If you still have problems, start with one route and post here for help....
