Protrain 8

Post by safathome »

I have what i believe a faulty C.D (will not load, crashes P.C,tried on 2 P.C 's now and taken advice from a computer Guro, with the suggestion of the C.D is blank ?) i have posted a question in the European forum section and a suggestion is to send the C.D back to the supplyer.(which i was told to do in the 1st place!).
Can i just send it back to Atomic Systems with a cover note ? and wait for another C.D or is there any other suggestons?

Hi there,
What does this CD do precisely in the way of crashing?
Secondly, I think you would probably have to send it back to the publisher (Contact Sales?) to get a replacement, rather than UKTS.

Hi Chris.
This is what happens,
P.C starts to autoload c.d and stops.Go into "my p.c" and try in install from the protrain icon,i get an error message which reads" My computer not responding" i then loose all my desk top icons and get a error message on screen which is a end program message.
I take out the cd from the drive and icons reapear.

I have tried other C.D's in the drive and they load up fine.

is the cd scratched or anymarks visible on it, if so wipe the cd in a straight across fashion with a lint free cloth,
also check your dvd drive for reading both cd and dvd data.also use a cd/dvd drives lens cleaner,if all this fails, then return disk.

Just as a matter of interest, you can buy any Protrain route from http://www.simw.com at about £16 per route inc postage. Delivery takes about 3 days, despite being in Belgium!

I bought Protrain 5,6 and 7 in February and the cost was 68Euros inc postage.
