Hi Tim,

Sorry to hear about your illness, and I hope you feel better soon. It seems an awful long time since I uploaded my first model to your site (back in the days before even uktrainsim.com was around).

Not a lot of us original MSTS modellers left now, sorry to see another one leave the fold.

Thanks for sharing your work over the last years, and all the best for the future.

I can't imagine Route Editor would do anyone that wasn't feeling well any good, so much as you'll be sadly missed, I'm sure you're definitely doing the right thing!

In common with one or two others, I understand totally what you're going through and wish you a full recovery to good health......which will happen with the support of family and friends.

On a selfish note, I hope that you'll pass the baton on UKFS to others in the community so that it can continue to be available, supported and perhaps even developed further. I don't know where the UK freeware community would be without it.

Perhaps there is a lesson here for all of us. Creating an add-on of any kind for MSTS can be a VERY difficult and stressful business.. if and when someone makes a mistake, do not resort to harsh words and criticism, ask politely and clearly state what you see as a problem. Undue carping can be enough to make someone give up the struggle.

Tim many thanks for your hard work in giving the community such quality products like Fine Scale track, Dynatracks and Track Viewer, also for the time taken answering queries over on your forum that has helped me achieve prototypical track layouts on Stoke Division.
I second Longbows comments and hope that someone can find the time to carry on the hard work youve put into UKFS and carry it forward.

Tim, since you started the whole UK MSTS community, it's incredibly sad to see you leave. UKFS has been a great addition to the community, L&SE from Making Tracks showed it to it's best, as well as other routes too numerous to mention.

Here's to one of the greatest MSTS contributors and pioneers.

Wasn't this a point raised a week or two ago, and shot down by some people as complete cobblers ?

I very rarely post here but this topic certainly got my attention. Yesterday when I went to Tim's site and read the news I was deeply saddened. Tim is one of the greatest contributors to MSTS ever. His UKFineScale track system was everything the default tracks should have been. His MSTS track viewer is a great way to get an overview of a route. Finally, his most recent work, Dynatrax, is nothing short of brilliant-both in concept and execution.

I wish you the very best for a full recovery at your own pace, Tim, and I hope that at some time in the future you will be able and willing to return to your train simulator projects. I also fully understand that sometimes MSTS must take a back seat to other things, and that illnesses sometimes get in the way. I have carpal tunnel syndrome, and there have been long stretches where I had to limit my computer usage. Do whatever is best for yourself at this point. Even if you can never return to MSTS, you've already done the equivalent of several lifetimes worth of work. Here's wishing all the best to you, Tim.
