That doesn't really suit it. Better than whatever that colour 1015 is in though!

What would it look like in Railfreight triple grey? (if they'd lasted a lot longer on the aggregate trains)

D1010 was the first First Western I ever saw and coincided exactly with the Queen's drive into town on a visit to Bletchley :)

The IC Western livery could grow on me? Seen worse fictitious repaints :)

D1010's plates aren't exactly easy to get pics of, there's a lifting crane in the way. Play around with these in your photo editing program, and you should be able to make a complete plate... in theory!

I've added a pic of the cabside crest, too, if that helps at all..

If the pics don't work at first, give them 15 minutes or so - they're awaiting approval although I think the hotlinks should go..

BTW - I think 1015 looks quite nice in Golden Orche!

Maybe if the red stripe was lowered along with the thick black stripe with the swallow on it and a whtie line seperated that black stripe and the roof, it would look better.
If you were wondering, the avatar is me on Planet Stooopid...

Cheers for the pics Jon
As for that Intercity Western, One word Dreadful!!
D1015's Golden Ochre is much better looking that that
Thank god the Western's didn't survive into the Intercity era.
