London to York hasnt been released yet and is likely to be released in two parts. London to Brighton is quite good but the scenery does not stretch very far from the line which is good for lower spec computers but it down to personal preference. The rolling stock is good

Only played L2B with the add-on to the add-on.

It's OK for a sprint down the Brighton.

The lack of depth of scenery enables higher fps.

It doesn't notice while driving and not much using view 2 or 4.

The White Rose route isn't out as already stated and is now only from KX to Peterbourough.

The wrong half if you ask me but no one did :)

Could always try London and South East which I would say is the best modern one available, set in the 1970's on the London lines, looks at home for modern day too.

Mid-East UK, although set in the last years of BR is such a long route, has enough scope for modern freight (with a bit of imagination) and has miles of four track main line to drive anything from A4's to HST's down at maximium speed. It also has plenty of stations to make stopping trains fun to drive.

Personally I rather loose interest after BR, but it beats me why some of the modern train fans haven't posted more activities for this route. After all there's shed loads of excellent models of modern stock in the library and at Making Tracks.

I've not tried this but I would have thought that some of the original activities could be run with just some swapping of stock?

Only drawback that I can see is that it's not electrified.

Play says 30/09/2005, but then it also still says London - York, so that may be out of date.

In the meantime MidEast UK is excellent - and it can of course be amended to allow electric trains to run...

Electrifying.

Is there a patch available to allow electric trains to run on mideast or is it a diy job? I would love to have 313s running to Welwyn Garden City.

Tim Court MIGHT give permission, but then somebody would have to go to the trouble of adding gantries every few metres.

He has already said if someone wants to do an update, they can go ahead, as long as it works.

Would the route look really bad without gantries?

I am sure someone has already done a electrified version. JBilton posted some screenshots about a month or so ago
