Your review of Great British Steam Locos was spot on, I unfortunatly paid good money, the full monty for this bit of kit on it's relese. Yos I was new to MSTS. And to put it very bluntly I was more than dissapointed. The locos look fine but what do I do with them????? The sounds I can get the same and better for the cost of a 3min download. As for the freight wagons supplied, I think I must have been living on Sodor rather than mainland UK, they definatly need the dirt and grime of use. I think you were very generous with your 50% rating though. I would give it 30 one for every £ it cost me in a sale at 'GAMES'

The pat on the back was for Matthew Peddlesden for his summing up of the'Great British Steam Locomotives' add on pack for MSTS. Check out the reviews section, it's worth a read before you shell out hard earned for this bit of kit. :D

50s and 60s are my era of interest, esp Eastern Region. Very much the dawn and growth of BR prior to the infamous Dr Beaching. In those days Norwich, (my home city) had three railway stations. Just one left now but the routes have been turned into walks so a small amount of the flavour is still to be had. Norwich became pretty much a backwater from the 70s not being electified until the mid 80s some parts not until the mid 90s. MSTS supports a quite good download of a route called europe3 (You have to hunt for the missing texture and shape files) that gives an idea of how it is down to Harwich. (sorry I cant think of the authers name) Check out Uktrainsim/routes/East Anglia. I have not had time to check out ECML yet as I have got caught up in european tramways. LOL

I keep going back to Down Town and playing with the VT trams, I wish I could find a variation on the cabs but oh well. Sumpter is worth a look at, I take it you have down loaded upcol.zip from Train-sim.com, A nice Union train but where to put it???? I'm new to activity editing and this consist is just to large. Quite a download to at 26mb. Still I want to keep the original and will truncate it a bit to fit somewhere. LOL

Hi everyone
I too was disappointed with Great British Steamers Add On
I finished up trading it in at Game.
For Steam locos I don't think there's anything like the Severn Valley Add On it's excellent also East Lancashire Railway.
Kind Regards Stephen.

Hey no offence intended to the Rev Audry and his wonderful stories, my daughters both loved them as did I. Please PM me about the fund raising at dave_revell@hotpop.com I don't have much of an income but I can always find a pound or so for the cause of steam and keeping it alive. :D

Heheheheheh, stress and tiredness induced perhaps, but I don't hold with these theories that tell me I don't know when I am thinking straight :)
