What are your favorite types of engines? Mine are Ivatt 2-6-0s and Duchesses.

Rick remember the only difference between the West Countries and Battle of Britains locos were the sytle of nameplates used. As for the light pacifics and the Merchant Navy's there was very few differences between them, so there is little or no excuse for only doing 1 of them.

I like them all! Even those massive US jobs. Wonderful. But anything in Great Western green gets my vote.

Thats easy, 55 007 Pinza but I dont remember why she was my favourite Deltic above all the others. Maybe she was the first one I got to "cab" or something.
May she rest in peace (pauses to brush tear from cheek).

Probably quicker for me to list what I don't like, but my all time faves have to be:
Anything LMS (from Fowler 2p through to Stanier 8f)
Blue Pullman
Classes 81-90 (sorry - don't particularly like the Flying Badger or the lopsided 91's)
Class25
Class40
MetCam, Cravens, Derby and Swindon XC DMU's
310 Emus
421/2 DC trams
442 Plastic Pigs
HST
CIE 071 class/NIR 111
I find Nodding Donkeys (142/3's) fascinating as they never penetrated the West Midlands where I used to live, but I don't think they are in my hall of fame.
What don't I like?
Continental Steam (all those pipes and things hanging off them)
Most things Great Western (so that's a Fatwa from IKB's bunker in Wales, then) but I do like the diesel railcars - Art Deco at it's best.

Anything that runs on 1500V DC (and NOT painted yellow - excludes all that strange Dutch stuff!)
