Hello,
I'm using AVG too, but have not had that problem. A workaround could be to disable AVG ONLY while you are online downloading the files. Once they are down, go offline, and install your files. If needed, delete any 'exe' files that MAY have come with the two locos after you've installed the locos. Then restart AVG and go back online.
Matt has posted an item about false virus messages in the news section at UKTS.
Best wishes, Bob.

The latest updates to AVG appear to have made the program a bit over-aggressive. It reported 4 trojans on my PC yesterday in files which have been in a folder I use to store old 'zips' and which have been there since January, and which I know to be OK.

I agree, Mike - it's only since an update last week that I saw it - and they were old files on a CD
The latest ones seem to have cured it as I've had no trouble in the last day or three, despite d/ling several new files.

In reply to my earlier post, I too have now had an .exe file deleted by AVG - running on database date 25/4/05, one which had quite happily been sat on my pc for months. It had been recognised as infected with a trojan dropper.
I've uninstalled AVG, and now have Avast 4.6.
Best wishes, Bob.

I've just had to re-build my MSTS storage drive from CD-R's and AVG identified several files as Trojan's. I was able to override AVG and recover these files from the vault however, this morning the auto-scan kicked into action and deleted the GRCW Blue & Green Class 100 DMU's as well as 2 files from the London-Southhamton Route Set specifically UKTS_11374 & 11378.

Sounds like an email to Grisoft is in order; is everyone using the full, paid-for version of AVG or the trial?
Mine is the full version, and updates daily; it hasn't reported an error in the last week, despite several downloads... but I've sent the email to Grisoft anyway.

As an owner of two licenses for the full AVG i've emailed them as well, the more people that do the more they'll appreciate the problem.
Yes, they are likely to do something about it, false positives destroy confidence in the program so it's in their interests to fix it - in the past both McAfee and Norton have rectified this problem when told about it so I don't see why AVG wouldn't.
Just make sure you email as much information as possible.
Matt.
