I would personally recommend the Cambrian Coast Route and MidEast as my 2 favourites as the first is eye candy for sure and the second has much to explore am currently working on a set of mainly overnight activities for mideast including freightliners and Deltic hauled sleepers all activities should feature a twist or two.

Thames-Mersey WCML is free. You need a good machine though.
