West Somerset Railway Route

Post by ImCanadian »

I am not familiar with nearly all of the British routes from where I live in Canada. Anyway I would like to know about this route called West Somerset Railway. Now is that route a freeware to download from this file library of this forum or a payware route to purchase a CD online?? Can you tell me more about this if you know about this route??

Thankyou in advance

West somerset is a commercial add-on published by JustTrains and developed by RailWaves. You can buy it from most places online (including here) and maybe even in stores locally if they stock stuff like that :)

It's a small preserved railway, you can get lots of info and screenshots by reading the review on UKTrainSim :)

At 23 miles, the west somerset railway is i think the longest preserved railway in the UK.
Well worth getting hold of.

I would hesitate to call it a "small preserved railway"...

It is really realistic.
I went last year and then the addon came out and it was like being there again! All the trains are superbe and the scenery is great!
They captured Butlins well, and at each station, the little things that make it right are all there in the addon.

A nice one for slow running!

I have never visited the West Somerset Railway but if the sim is anything to go by it really does look stunning I know in December they have Dunster by candlelight weekend and I would like to pay a visit then.
The West Somerset is certainly one of the best commercial add ons available.
Kind Regards Stephen
