Like many others, I run my MSTS with seperate folders for Routes & Trains, renaming to "Routes" & "Trains" , as required.
Routes_Default
Routes_SVR
Routes_ELR
Routes_Skipton
Routes_TM
etc
Trains_Default
Trains_SVR
Trains_ELR
Trains_Skipton
Trains_TM
I have come across a slight problem with Kosmos and the superb Thames-Mersey Route. If I change the Thames-Mersey era, using "InstallSteam.bat" & "InstallModern.bat", I lose the Kosmos environment settings. If I try to set-up Kosmos again, I get a "missing textures" message, although I can't see where. In order to set-up Kosmos again, I have to paste the route back in with the default routes, then move it again afterwards. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to retain the settings when switching?
Thanks
Tim

Tim,
The reason is that the env files settings are held in the .trk file, which is switched when you change between steam and modern versions of the route.
The solution is as follows:
1. Install modern version by running the bat file.
2. Make your Kosmos changes.
3. Copy the file mersey.trk from the Mersey folder into the folder Alternatives/Modern 1965.
Repeat for the Steam version but in step 3 copy the file mersey.trk from the Mersey folder into the folder Alternatives/Steam Pre 1965.
In future your Kosmos settings will then load correctly for each version.
