Instillation Central Scotland Route

Post by lorica »

Can some one please explain how to install the Central Scotland Route. I have downloaded the first 12 zip files but I keep getting the following error message

The next part of this archive [SC.zip] in the location you specified [C:\unzipped\] does not appear to be different from the last part that was processed. Use it anyway?

can someone please help

Thanks

Hi
Welcome to the forums ....
( first post after 33 months)

You need the latest version of winzip

http://www.winzip.com

Its a "spanned zip".........it does tell you in the readme.
Cheers
Jon

PS Before you ask....MSTS2 is cancelled.....and Highworth isn't out yet...

Hi
You need to take the "UKTS_" and ".zip" extensions off the files

so you end up with sc.zip
sc.z01
sc.z02 etc

Then it'll work.

A useful tip for this having only installed it myself recently is to instead of allowing the sc.zip file to download automatically when clicking on it, my tip is to right click on the download icon and "save target as" (save into the same folder as sc.01 - sc.12), then you can rename it easily once downloaded into the file. I kept getting the same error message and someone (you know who you are :) ) very kindly passed this tip on to me.

Cheers

Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Appearance and Themes/Folder Options /View,then Scroll down to Hidden files and folders,Then put a Dot in the show hidden files and folders Circle, then Click Apply, then click OK
then go and Install Scottish Central with http://www.winzip.com

Or click on these 2 links and read what" the NudeHamster" wrote on SC

Thanks everyone I have now got the route installed and it seams to be running with no problems, just downloading some of the activities. From what I've seen the route looks excellent. Looking forward to seeing the route develop.

Thanks everyone :)
