We will at some point in the near future be releasing these as Free Stock Friday releases.
Despite having removed them (and I hold no opinion either way as to if it was right or not), Adam has signed over the Turbos to my care, and we will reuploaded them in a while.
The plan was to do some upgrade to them, but the textures are about as good as you're going to get. The Turbo interior is a direct clone of the 465's, so there is some room for change there maybe.
I will not enter in to discussion about when I will be reuploading them, or listen to pleas for it to be done before the interior's are uprated.
I will look into them as and when my schedule allows.

Good job I downloaded them all already, but at least they have a future, even though there is a wait.

This is a bit off topic, but I also think people might like to know that FGW Link have finally replaced the grubby NSE covers and carpets on their trains with purple ones
They look much better even though they already have sick stains on them, probably on Friday night london services.

Comments like that probably won't encourage him to rush to put them back either. Not aware of the circumstances or seen the thread/post which led to the ban but at the end of the day it is any uploader's perogative (myself included) to decide if we no longer want to host our work at a particular site regardless of the effect that might have on related files. Freeware is created in spare time and shared in the community spirit. If one, rightly or wrongly, feels that community spirit has been breached then it is hardly selfish to decide the time has come to remove contributions.

As I say, not aware of the circumstances but I know if I felt I had been banned unjustifiably then withdrawing my files is a counter measure I might well contemplate.
Hi Bigvern I have to disagree with yeah there's alot of us who have been contributing to the shared community as you perfectly put it for two or three years, what if all of us decided to remove our stuff there'll be nothing left for people to download, I'm sure whoever it was who removed the 166 turbostar is still free download other peoples contributions it's just a shame its no longer vica versa. Fair enough you may have personal difference with the administrators but don't take it out on the rest of us by removing your stuff!!

Maybe a case of having all the eggs in one basket then. However it's going to be an ever present risk when a forum runs alongside the only effective download site for UK MSTS stuff that a member will take umbrage and pull their content. It has happened before and it probably will happen again before a more general demise of MSTS. Moral of the story for downloaders, is if you see something you like don't put off getting it as it might not be there tomorrow!

From my own personal POV, I don't tend to make posts that could be construed as controversial or rude but it is very, very easy to get indignant and wound up and draft a respone telling someone they're an f.....g idiot only to spare the Submit button at the last minute. Believe me, I've been there!

I think a forum ban is just that, a forum ban.
You can't really ban someone from downloading if they are a premium member without refunding etc....

If anybody is interested, I have the NSE 165, FGW 166, and TT 166.
You'll probably have to check cabview and sound aliases with whatever you already have though.
In addition to this, I have the TT 165 and the Chiltern 165, if you don't mind contact me at

A forum ban is just a forum ban, yes. Although if a person is also banned from the site, I believe they can request their remaining premium subs to be returned.

But what would be gained from banning someone from the site entirely?

I believe it may be used if someone is being abusive to Matt after a forum ban, to give an example.

Oh fair enough, although I can't see that such an action would do, I someone was taking a forum ban badly, I'm sure that this would just p1ss them off more !

Of course, but it also cuts them off with all contact, and of course the next step from that is contacting the ISP involved.

I know a site where you can visit any website, even if it is blocked on the network.
