Its not Alt+Enter...just tried it.

Only thing I can offer is hit the WINDOW key to get the start menu up...

I've found it! I think....a reply by jbilton to a similar question:
This short cut makes it run in a window of size given

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\train.exe" -vm:w,800,600,32

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\train.exe" -vm:w,1024,768,32

1) Copy or create a new desktop icon

2) Right click on the icon & select Properties

3) If the contents of the Target field starts "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator then simply paste one of the lines in jbilton's post into the field, overwriting what's there. If not, leave the path the same and just replace the remainder of the line.

4) Save...and bingo. Click on the icon and you have a window.

btw the top line gives a window size of 800 x 600 (with 32 colours I think).

The bottom gives 1024 x 768

It does work - I run MSTS at 1024x768 for performance reasons but because my TFT monitor is 1280x1024 I have to do this to stop the monitor blurring stuff as it stretches the pixels
