Train store

Post by Beetlejuice »

Is it a good idea to get train store? It looks good but is it too advanced for just the basic luxury of putting AI traffic on Explore mode?

It seems very good to me and i'm not sure wether to get it

Thanks

it is a good download if you have lots of routes.

Completely useless if you want AI on explore mode, though. I don't know of any utilities that allow that.

Train store is not any kind of activity creation tool.
All it does is make running the sim with lots of routes / stock installed quicker / possible !

Now why would you say that? (unless you don't know) Train Store allows you to use Loose Stock and (with some restrictions) AI trains whilst using Explore Mode.

I think the question was about using AI traffic in Explore Mode, not editing or creating Activities.

Give it a try. See http://forums.atomic-systems.com/viewtopic.php?t=36570

Actually, thats not true :D
To quote the TrainStore manual
Explore with loose stock and/ or AI traffic

If you are using easy explore, you also have the option of exploring using the loose consists that are specified for any activity in the route that you are exploring. You even have the option of exploring with the AI traffic from a chosen activity.........
From P77 of the trainstore manual, go there for more details. (Version 3.1.0526)

Sorry Tony, didn't think it was possible so I haven't bothered to see if Trainstore will do it...

And they say assumption is the mother of all . ups.

Tony
Does it ?

Are we saying that using trainstore you can explore, and have traffic at the same time ?

If its does that, then I'm truely seriously impressed.

Notwithstanding the date on these posts, Tony is absolutely right, and yes, there is the ability to run AI traffic in Explore mode. Go get it and try it out.

He must have been typing his message just before me :D
Besides, I had to go & look up the manual before I could post mine; I've never really used that feature.
