As a huge Eurostar fan is there a route from lets say waterloo to paris out there......

Just Trains (Just Flight) has developed a "Lille (France) to Ashford " route, including of course the Channel Tunnel and both Eurotunnel terminals, which is sold as an add-on to MSTS (one CD) with some rolling stock (TGV réseau, Thalys, Corail coaches and SNCF engine... but no Eurostar). The accuracy is rather approximative : the tunnel is not straight but a bit winding, there is no cab-signal and the signal plates which should be about 1 mile from each other are present on top of all catenary supports. But it works...

I rather advise you not to buy the Just Trains version,cos the file is MUCH bigger than the routes provided by MSTS.

I would rather recommend if you bought the European Bahn's version of the Channel Tunnel.

Well actually the Just Trains version is Europeanbahns I think it was one of the first routes they did. I have it and its great for thrashing along at high speed. It has a small signalling bug which i rectified easily but other than that I found it very enjoyable. Whether its authentic or not i wouldn't know, but then i wouldn't know if 95% of the routes I have are authentic as ive never visited half the places modelled.

But of course vCTRL is a different kettle of fish all together and will be worth the wait.

The original EB TGV route is fictional.

Waterloo to Paris will be quite big...?
London-Lille looks good...

Yep Dollands Moor Yard is in place on vCTRL.

Sandling Tunnel to the left, and Eurotunnel approaches to the right. Also the Dover Line curving south. Its not a 100% exact replica, but is able to serve the same purposes


There is a few french guys developing the Paris - Waterloo - Brussels route, however it is semi fictional from what I have seen. They are concentrating on simulating the various signals and operational practices rather than creating authenticity. From their co-ordinates I think it was plotted that in real life, their London Waterloo location would been northern france.

However this route is being worked on by developers who are constantly tied up in other work, and at the moment I think it has been put to one side while they get other things completed.

LucaZone - are you working from official L&CR drawings of the route, gradient profiles etc?

Haven't played it in a while but i think the Thalys stock was only used in activities on the French side of the tunnel, with convention UK stock on the English side.

But there wasn't any UK stock...

Probably why it was called TGV TrainSim Pack
