What is the name of program to shut down all programs???
I have been trying to think what is the name of the program that will shut down all the program on the computer before using the program of Train Simulator?? I know there is one program that was offer as freeware before but not anymore. It's EnditAll which was provided free through one of the computer magazine. I know there is another freeware program but can't remember the name and can get it through AVSIM file library. Hope that someone can lighten up with the name of the program from AVSIM??
Thankyou

Hi John,
The one which you were actually looking for was FSAutoStart - it was on AVSIM last time I looked.
Much the same as EndItAll, but I have never found any need for either, I have not found a lot of improvement in FPS, and then when you finish you need to reboot to get everything back to normal.

I'm not arguing (just explaining why I'm right).

FSAutoStart doesn't require a reboot at finish as you can set all the apps and programs to 'Stop and Restart' so that when you finish playing Flight Sim, it restarts everything it turns off.
And even though it says FS... You can use it for any program you like as you have to set the path to the executable before you can use it.
I'm not 100% sure about it though as it certainly stops a lot of processes nicely, and defrags the memory, but not one of the programs that I specified it to stop were stopped. McAffees being the big one I noticed.
And out of all the programs I want stopped it's the anti-virus as that checks every file loaded up and is a real frame-rate killer in VFR scenery, or in MSTS, high denstity tiles.
