Does anyone know of any other welsh railways for MSTS that aren't the Ffestiniog, Talyllyn or Welshpool and Llanfair? If there are currently no others available is anyone creating any others?

Cambrian coast is a commercial release, and Bala Hub 4 is a freeware CD - they're both GWR/BR Standard gauge lines; I think there's a Swansea route about too, but I have no experience of it.

Under Development is the Welsh Highland Route from Spooners TS
I am also working on a freelance truescale NG route that is set in Wales which incorperates 2ft, 3ft and Standard Gauge lines.
There is also a second (earlier) Cambrian route being made as Payware
Ther may be others also!

The Swansea route is slightly older (2003?), & set in the FGW era, although there are no period specific objects etc; If you look in the file library, most of the activities are steam
Nice route, and reccomended.

There is another version of Swansea under development. It is based 1950 -1960 and includes all lines west of Port Talbot. The route uses UKFS and all track is accurate to 1950's OS maps.

It includes many purpose built models (built by myself and others in the community). It is these that are proving to be the time consuming part.

There is still a lot of work to be done and no finish date has been set.
If I get the time I will post some screenshots.

I did start something based on the Rhymney Valley but I wasn't happy with the way the terrain/track relationship was working out. Also MSTS ain't exactly geared to giving a very good rendition of steep slopes which are denesly populated with buildings, not without a stepped or terraced appearance or burying half the buildings in the ground. So it was quietly laid to rest but will probably resurface when TMTS appears assuming that can handle this type of scene better.

It also looked too clean, not the half run down dilapidated impression one gets for real driving through some of the places between Ystrad Mynach and Rhymney which have definitely seen better days (not to mention the local youths hanging around the stations!).

I guess a steam era Valleys route could be severly taxing for Msts, I seem to recal that at their peak the valleys had more track per squ mile than the london underground.

How times change

This is still on the cards, but beforehand will be a route that has the older name Rheidol (in the immortal words of Rolf Harris "Can you guess what is is yet?") Its the Vale of Rheidol being built to Truescale, see the NG forum for details
