Welsh Railways

i am too looking for welsh addons as im originally from Newport and used to travel from Newport to cardiff and then onto Barry island on what we used to call the bug trains or slow boat to china ,i went back home a few years ago and looked like the dmu with diesel instead of electric.anyway my uncle used to work for British rail as a goods driver and started when he was 15 as a fireman way back i guess in the 1960s and then later went on to hst trains but i guess now retired as he must be at least in his late 60s
