Much like many of the old computer games - which are being revived on budget compilations - gameplay outscores superb graphics every time; accuracy and quality of the background don't improve a bad game.

I'm not for a moment implying that subsequent routes are not good; it's the playability that makes MidEast a survivor. And I think that the success of MidEast is what has prompted the enormous number of later routes which follow a similar pattern. The MS/Kuju idea of a long end-to-end mainline with almost no variation was no longer acceptable after MidEast. We now demand variety in our routes, and we have MidEast to thank for that.

I wasn't worried about the accuracy, I think the fictional bits are a good addition, i was just curious what they were.

The route is excellent and was my first choice purchase - I guess I'm a sucker for BR blue.
