I've just downloaded the latest Diesel Smoke Replacement ZIP file displayed on the front page of this site.
I ask this here as there is no email address in the readme of this ZIP.
The ACE file looks *very* similar to the steam smoke replacement ACE file originally released by Niels Picciotto (e428@email.it). The main image seems identical but the alpha channel is totally different.
Yet no mention is made of Niel's original work...... or did Niels get his image from someone else?
New Diesel Smoke - Isn't it Niels Picciotto's image?

Good day,
I'm the author of the original steam smoke mod, I'm asking the author of the file called UKTS_11602_new_exhaust.zip an immediate update of the readme file, including the original author of the texture (me). If there will be no correction, I'll ask to remove the file to the website managers.
Why not simply ask me to have the file, and to use it (I never told "no" to people asking me stuff for msts...), and instead rename it, without even changing the image, and write a readme without credits, and without an email to reach the author (the true one, and the "hidden" one)? Mr. 47522, what if next time I'll take your work, rename it, and upload it on a foreign website telling it's mine? And, just in case you will try to explain it's "your" work, I still have the scan of the front cover of a trains magazine, with a T3 restored in Italy, and, that's a strange thing, have the smoke i used on my texture...
Please fix this, or I'll ask the file to be removed.
My best regards
Niels Picciotto

I'm locking this thread pending an investigation of the circumstances.
Niels, Yuri - we do take this sort of thing very seriously, and the file will be removed as soon as possible, pending the outcome of the investigation. (I don't have permissions to do it myself.)
Cheers
