Diesel Hydraulic Collection from ELR - loco names ?

Post by hooverman »

I have ordered the above disc as it offers some excellent traction for the Paddington 2 Penzance route. The website lists the loco numbers, but is there a site I can look at to get the names of the Warships and Westerns ?

Hydraulic names

Jon, unless you can see something I haven't spotted on that site, the only thing I can see is the CD info which lists the numbers and liveries, but not the names.

I think he means the Warships, Westerns and Hymeks Cd not the ELR route CD. I don't know of a site with all Western Hydraulic names listed somehwere, if not try an old Ian Allan abc.

There is site which lists all the various named trains and locos, but I've lost the bookmark and URL for it. .!

That'll do for the Westerns, Jon - Now can anyone remember the site which lists steam, diesel, electric....?

But Jon, I've seen a site somewhere - and I've lost the URL - which listed all the steam, diesel, and electric locos since nationalisation, not just WR stuff. It also had a link to another site with shed allocations. I was just hoping somebody might save me a week of searching if their memories (or backup habits) were better than mine.

jimmyladd,

Someone after my own heart.
At a young age I decided that learning my times tables could wait until I'd learnt all the Western and Warship numbers and names.
I still think this is valid and the young people of today should be made to do likewise. :o
