Maple Leaf

Post by thassos »

Anybody any experience of buying from Maple Leaf? Is there any problem with the nasty UK Excise Men? or can their products be bought in UK?

Just search on http://www.amazon.co.uk for PC games and Maple Leaf

No import taxes and cheaper shipping. Tried to paste in a URL for the search but something is stuffing that up in Firefox and IE 6. I guess Amazon don't allow deep linking.
Kindest regards

My partner treated me to an MLT product late last year which was sourced direct from them. There were no problems.

However, when the disk arrived it was just that - a disk in a paper sleeve in a cardboard mailer, no manual or anything. So if you want something that looks aesthetically pleasing with the rest of your MSTS collection soutcing in this country is probably the best plan.

I can confirm that I had no problems dealing Direct with Maple Leaf but I was also disappointed to just receive the kicking Horse Pass CD in a paper sleeve. The price was also competitive.
However, I would not hesitate in dealing with them again.

I don't recall any MLT route (I've got the lot except Michigan Iron Ore) coming in a DVD box. Some came in paper sleeves, some in CD "single" cases. I think it helps speed them through the post and keeps P&P costs down. Also plastic cases other than the CD single type are easily damaged in the post.

I use cases from this supplier.

That way you can buy CD's or DVD's in Spindles and still store the recorded ones securely. The DVD cases come with a clear sleeve that will take your own homemade cover. There's stacks of Pictures out there to make your own cover from. Even Word will allow you to make a cover if you don't have a DTP package. I'd recomend Page Plus if you want a DTP package. Loads of features and a good balance between wizards and "do your own thing".
