This may help us budding MSTS route builders out a bit....
Here is my list:
1.WCML Preston-Carlisle-Glasgow.
2.ECML all of it.
3.West Highland Line
4.Highland main line. (Perth - Inverness)
5.GWML Exeter-Plymouth
6.Trans-Pennine North. Leeds-Liverpool
7.Trans-Pennie South. Sheffield - Manchester. Please open the route via Buxton as well!
8. Stoke- Manchester. Don't ask why, I just like it!
9. Edinburgh-Aberdeen
10. GWML Plymouth-Penzance.

1. GWML Carmarthen - London Padd.
2. GWML(ish!) Cardiff - Portsmouth/Southampton.
3. Brecon and Merthyr railway, Merthyr Tydfil - Brecon (Via Torpantau tunnel, highest tunnel in UK!)
4. Any other South/West Wales route!! Especially valley lines, and the Carmarthen -Aberystwyth route, including Aberyron and Cardigan branches (Via Lampeter).
5. Last one! Aberystwyth - Shrewsbury.

The Trans Pennine is one of my favourites especially around the new mills area!!
Often used to travel from Cleethorpes to Manchester and always enjoyed this Route.

* London Underground - very suprised we've not seen LU stuff for TS yet. Anyone managed 4th rail yet?
* Isle of Wight line??? Ryde pier head to Shanklin.
* Across the Fourth Rail Bridge
* Manchester tram system..? Croydon Trams..?

In no perticular order my favs are,
Waterloo to Bornemouth and Poole,
Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria, Liverpool Street to Norwich,
Crewe to Grantham via Stoke on Trent, Derby and Nottingham,

1) Pro Train Rheintal! Seriously, I was in Germany recently and travelling down the rhine in an ICE, particularly the Koblenz - Bingen section, is a great journey.
2) Any sort of suburban route really - particularly Southern, Great Eastern, and the south end of the WCML.

The best would have to be the east coast mainline, the entire route from Kings Cross to Edinburgh.
2nd would have to be Leeds to Blackburn, it past through some absoultey beautiful scenery. I went from Grantham - Leeds - Blackburn to see LOUISE on March 14th
