does anyone feel that there is too much GWR in this add-on
don't get me wrong....i love GWR but it's a shame 60009 was not in the pack too al though it is available through the downloads library.
i only wish that the great marquess was in it and also the ivatt 2-6-0 mucky duck as well as the stanier mogul.
anyway they might be made secretly by someone soon......but hopefully with custom sounds
i hate the default sounds though in some cases the WD600 Gordon has a too shrill whistle which uses scotsman chuff and 380 whistle.

The reason 60009 Union Of South Africa wasn't in the SVR pack was that BATS put the loco in their second release, the LNER pack.
I would though, like to see K4 The Great Merquess, the Ivatt 2-6-0 and the stanier mogul but BATS have done brilliantly with what they put in the add-on

Here here !

, though l will give the GWR credit for the Castle class, probably the best 4 cylinder 4 -6-0 power to weight ratio and cleanest rakeish looking loco going, and thats coming from a man if cut in half would have LMR written through him

.
Credit where credit is due, the GWR were like Mr Kiplings cakes on occassion, exceedingly good !.
Best regards
Michael

dont knock the GWR if it wasnt for them there would be no Paddington - Penzance
Pwlleli/Aberystwyth - Paddington
Birkenhead-Paddington.
And there certainly would be no SVR.

i am far from knocking the GWR but 3 panniers?
don't get me wrong but i love the 15xx.......she's got a lot of character for a small loco.
is there anyone making more SVR locos please shout up
The great Marquess is a beautiful loco and will be overhauled soon.
although it can be downloaded from here but it will use the default sounds.
anyyone here who likes the default sounds..........please shoot yourself
is there anyone who likes a good bit of LNER here?

Yes me I'm an LNER man at heart, though I like all other regions (probably due to being from the preservation era I have to settle for what steam are preserved). You cant really blame BATS for doing all those nice GWR locos but the enthusiasts of the 1960's who did not preserve more LNER locos, BATS can only work with what is around now for projects such as SVR.
I would like to see more LNER models out there so I'm going to make 2 and a set of coaches as my next project for MSTS

Michael I agree on the best 4cyl bit, but looks wise they don't butter my biscuit atall. I think that heavily tapered boilers look good on a shorter loco like a 43XX, but not on a longer one. Its all conjecture though as beauty is in the eye of the beholder

I like LNER, although even better is ex LNER locos in brunswick green as thats the most common thing at preserved lines.

Seen as its representing an exGWR line.......perhaps one shouldn't complain. Although I work on SVR my loyalties lie firmly with the LMS, I would love to see 2968 represented by BATS and the flying pig, perhaps in an LMS pack with a jinty too (to show those panniers what a proper tank engine can do!) Long Live the LMS! Also I very much admire the BR standards, the standard 4 4-6-0 75069 is a fine machine that is now finally being worked on in real life, would love to see this one also by BATS in a standards pack along with one of those fine machines called a Standard 5!

I'll knock the GWR if I want to.
It was, after all, the branchline that joined the Southern at Reading

The SVR is a ex GWR Route so the locos supplied with the route are boud to be mainly GWR but i agree there should be more LMS locos like the Stanier 5mt 2-6-0 and a Jinty and also 34027 Taw Valley
dont know about LNER stuff though !
