Hi Guy's,

Totally agree about the 3-D model and sounds (although I've a bit of a problem with the horn working - plays OK through media player but doesn't seem to work in the sim?) but the grey "works" finish is just begging for some excellent weathered skins.

Only time I get to see these (and I may be wrong here) is as from the Pavillion pub at the North Pole in West London.

No! It's not a wind up! The line that runs North South through Olympia reaches a junction just North of the A40 called "North Pole Junction". The railway crosses over and joins by the junction, the main Paddington Line just North of the Pavillion Pub. In a world of Commuter trains in London(all Buffy's beloved plastic nowadays  ) this is about the only place you'll see loco's without an Anorak!

The Pavillion's "conservatory/garden" has a front row view of an embankment and bridge over North Pole Road. There's a signal just before the bridge at which I've seen a number of EWS 37's and 66's start from a clearance pulling a variety of stock. Yeoman's hopper's and loco's also use this route.

They all look well used and weathered whatever the company.

Just one other query. What type of brakes do they use. Can't get activity editor to work nowadays so I'm using ConBuilder. It lists the coupling types but not the brakes......or did I miss something?

In dear old Beltchley, I hear plenty of these machines although often idling with consists that don't challenge them but the FL one's do have to work a bit harder.

Like the 57's and 67's, a very distinctive sound and captured very well in this model.

None, I'm afraid. It's a self extracting file, wops straight into a normal set up .... and works.

Not exactly sure....but does it start to make sounds if you actually drive it?
I know some people had trouble with the class 60 sounds when the came out...and these work similar.
Sorry but I cant remember the solution....but check your game sound quality settings maybe.?
There is certainly something slightly dodgy with the main horn(spacebar)....I'll have a play later in the week with the sms....I'd like to be able to start it on the press of the b key.

Don't know why/how because as John said, its a self extracting file :-?

I hope i am not too late to post but that class 66 is one nice piece of kit complete with cab and a sound set too :). I hope that the author releases his class 66 in EWS and Freightliner liverys in the future . Though i would also welcome GBRF as well as that is a nice livery too :). When i first used the loco i had problems hearing the sounds but i checked the sound settings in MSTS and reseted the quantity of sounds back to "high" as whenever i have to reinstall MSTS - it always changes my settings back to default ones :-?. But once i restored my settings i got that lovely class 66 yinging sounds after the start up sound :). I have to say its a realistic drive when you use a bose dolby 5 speaker surround system with a nice basey subwoofer . It feels like you are in a real 66 :D. Also i do like the cabview as well though the controls are slightly different to the EWS class 66's :).

My Rating 10/10
One of the best loco packages i have drivern for a long time :). A must have for anyone that has class 66's or likes the class 66's and knows how to aliased all the UK class 66's to this loco's sounds :). They are tons better than the dash 9 sounds i think .

cheers
Yuri Kurowski.
