The HST For Tamara
Posted: Sun Nov 14, 2004 4:58 pm
After having a Virtual HST named, myself and Jamie McEwen have written a letter to GNER asking for a HST to be named in Tamaras rememberance
I have asked for Matts blessing and got it and this letter will be going in the post First Class tommorow:-
Dear Sir/Madam
I have a request which I hope you will be able to assist us with. We are part of a Rail Simulation group and one of our members’ family was involved in tragic accident.
His daughter was killed after being struck by a drunk driver in Inverkeithing.
Tamara McIntosh was only aged 9.
She like her father Kerr had become a rail enthusiast and her favourite type of train was the GNER HST. Kerr has contributed to our group in a large way and has made various stock and a Scottish Route.
A few of our members are actually naming a Virtual GNER HST in her memory and we appreciate that it would generally have to be some pre arranged idea to have a Locomotive named but we as a group thought it would be a nice gesture to dedicate a real power car to his daughter in remembrance.
We realise there may be a problem in producing the lettering you use for the names and our group would like to contribute to it in someway.
I look forward to your response and thank you for your assistance in this matter

We will be, if successful ,looking for donations towards it
however large or small and i will arrange it to be made through Matt/ukts and then the donation made from UKTS as a whole
Any comments?
