Hi all,

It has been decided by myself and a few others that considering circumstances that i cannot yet reveal, London - Southampton v2.0 has been postponed for the time being, the reason for which i cannot say.
But don't worry, it will be done eventually, and it definatley has not been scrapped.

Thank you for all the support, help and feedback from everyone who has helped me get this bug of a route back on track, and i hope you all continue to enjoy what is there already for the time being.

Please feel free to write activities for the route and upload, as i will hopefuly continue to do.

Time will tell, but we shall see.

Cheers

Well just reading the above before posting this, it seems to be a load of rubbish!!

Although i cannot yet still reveal what is going on, i can say i had a few spare hours (just a few  ) to work on L-S, with some interesting results.
Firstly, Northam has been redone to include the new Desiro depot and facilities, as these were incorrect in v1.1.
Secondly, i have the added bonus of working with 'Neoburner', who will be helping with the route in the future, and is good with the technical side of things, as shown by the new v0.9 self installer uploaded this week. One for v1.1 should be following soon, and these will hopefully ease the confusion of installing the route, and the number of repeated posts we keep answering!!

As said before, v2.0 is certainly not dead, in fact its going quicker than i thought it would be! As yet it is still a secondary thing to do, but you never know, i may release a v1.2 in the future with scenery up to basingstoke on it (thats not to say that scenery is complete all the way to basingstoke!! :) )

Ok i think thats it for now, so watch this space for any further updates.

Cheers

Justin,

All activities which say they are for v1.1 will work on the new self-extractor download, because nothing has been changed, only the installation process. However, the earlier activities for v0.9 will not work on v1.1.

Unfortunatley, i myself am not able to create any new activities becasue i have changed my version yet again, which means new paths would be needed for the new activities, and seeing as it is only a minor thing, it is not worth uploading them just so i can upload some activities.

Cheers

Hi Rich,

I have downloaded V0.9 and V1.1, have installed route to Train Simulator, when I start to load up the London to Southampton Route, the following error message crops up: 'Train world intialization failed', any ideas??

I have installed UKFS V3.1 and Magnetic Platforms I, I haven't downloaded any activities yet, just trying to go into 'Explore Route' mode..

Regards,
Justin. :)

Have you updated to the latest version of train simulator?

And run the installeme.bat files in the route folder?

Well im not quite clear on wot u mean there.

1) Do you mean that you have downloaded v0.9 and now are downloading v1.1?
2) Or do you mean you are downloading v1.1. but havent downloaded v0.9?

If 1), then that is all you need to do for the route.
If 2), then the v0.9 installer is located about 5 files below the v1.1 installer in the 'Newest Files' page.

If its neither of those, please explain more clearly.

Cheers
