Looking forward very much to this update. Is this a CD format (complete and hassle free loading) ? - a user feedback note - would kill to have the "Guildford New Line" (Waterloo - Guildford via Cobham) route created by you brilliant programmer types. I have the official BR pal format video tapes of this area if reference is useful. These are a shotgun cab view of a few routes. Thanks to all involved for creating these wonderful diversions.

Hi
will it be put onto an auto loader CD possibly
As downloading winzip files and trying to open them just doesnt work for me and crashed all my files and I had to reinstall it with losses
I only use CD's now even though it is freeware I would rather pay than for it all to crash again as it is way too complicated for me
I am pretty good on PC's but this moving files about with winzip is way too complicated
So is there a possibility of London Southampton going onto a CD
Thanks

I'll make an activity (for the current version) with only down traffic to either
1-Be overtaken by fast trains
2- to pass lots of slow trains

"either" "or" or "both"

Hi guys,

In answer to the CD question's, it is not my descsion im afraid as i am not the origional creator, i only have permission to edit and update the route, i am keeping it going while Jon Powell (the author) carries on with his new route, Wales and Wessex.

Also, the route is no-where near finished in terms of scenery, and more new track will probably be laid in the future, so there is still a long way to go.

I am going to make the installation very very simple and explain it a lot, so that those of you who aren't so used to 'extracting' etc. will find it easy, and even then if ur still stuck, you can ask me directly

So, basically, no CD yet, although maybe in the future

Cheers

Looking very nice! :)

As for CD's, trains2 is spot on, there will hopefully be a CD if/when (hopefully when :) ) the scenery is complete...

I've done them now, there are two versions-a freeware and LBE version. There is only down traffic, so they won't crash. I am in the process of testing the FW one.

Top stuff.

Quick progress, the route is packaged and ready to be uploaded some time this week. I have so far completed two activities for you to have a run around on, and ej3ae is also helping me out there.

Cheers

Jon,

Unfortunatley the answer will have to be no at this stage.

The primary object of this patch was to get the route up and running again, whilst making major track/signal improvements. Scenery was not a first, and im not the best at it!
However, stations up to Micheldever have been scenerised, and hopefully the next version (when i am more comfortable with working with textures/shapes etc) will have scenery included. So sorry about that but its just the way it is im afraid.

#####

Something i forgot to add earlier; the patch will be two seperate files, each of about 7Mb each (sorry to dial-up users :( ). You will require both files. File 1 will contain the basic files (i.e. .ref, .scrfg etc) and the new Paths; and File 2 will contain the textures/shapes/world/tiles folders. Extracting the zip folders to the L-S directory is all that will be necessary.

I think thats about it.

Cheers

To be honest i don't know. The files have been waiting approval for about 8 days. Matt says he's just got to much to do at the moment, and Warley is on this weekend so its not gonna get done at least until Monday.

Unfortunatley its just a case of playing the waiting game.

However it does give me more time to do the activities for it :)

Cheers
