My computer accurately monitored my graphics card frying when the fan stopped working.

I only discover that it would give a warning after it was too late.
If you have this feature, make sure that the warning is switched on.

stutter

Post by DCBickersteth »

:(
Having upgraded my pc to a Pentium 4 3.00 gig with 1 gig of ram and a Radeon 9800 Pro video card I'm still plagues with stutter. My pc engineer has told me that many MSTS users have spent a fortune trying to eliminate the stutter and its all down to the KUJU code, for the same machines work brilliantly on other very heavy games.

For me, the stutter spoils my enjoyment of my hobby. I hope very much that some one somewhere will eventually improve the engince code for TS - a bigger prority than opening doors etc etc.

Having tried the new full-sized demo of the TMTS simulator last weekend, if the final product is as good as the demo, you shouldn't have too many worries when it finally hits the market.

 Sounds promising - any one any idea of a time schedule for TMTS and will routes be backward compatible?

Quite honestly, no one is committing themselves to any sort of date and I can't say I blame them; there's always far too much argument and too many spurious queries.
Tim (actually both Tims) would only say that it will be released 'when it's ready'; I'd guess at at least another year - which may seem a long time, but just remember that the original MSTS took nearly three years to program, and that was incomplete. PI are trying to make TMTS from scratch, make it as bug free as possible, and as backwardly compatible as possible, and they've been at it seriously only since MSTS 2 was cancelled.

The only thing that is certain about it, is, unfortunately, that nothing is certain - though they are doing their level best to cater to as many ideas and ambitions as possible.

Real live announcements will be published on the Raildriver site, and also in the TMTS forum here.

Thanks for a helpful reply. Just hope that the two Tims get all the support and encouragement they need and people don't abandon TS or give up on financial grounds like Maple Leaf.

New routes such as the forthcoming L&SER (?) sound very promising.
