Route Riter 5.2.36 Installation probs

Post by bristolian »

Hello. When I try to install the latest version of Route Riter onto my PC running XP Pro, I get an alert saying that setup cannot continue unless I click OK to have the setup program replace out-of-date files on my PC. When I click OK and re-boot, I get the same message on trying to install again.
Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks, Bob.

I can only suggest you uninstall and start afresh not forgetting to run all the stuffit (etc..) files..but you knew that anyway
BTW I run RR v6.0.1(beta) on XP pro without any problems...!!

Thanks everybody. I've tried renaming the file as in the readme, but still have the prob. I've emailed Mike directly to see if he has any ideas.

Best wishes, Bob.

Hi Bob,

I responded to your email before I read this post, but am still a bit confused as to why this is happening.

You can try the Beta version from the link on my site at
http://members.optusnet.com.au/virtualtrains

This does not use the Microsoft Setup.exe installer, so should give better results.

I'm not arguing (just explaining why I'm right).
