Which of the editors can you bear the most?

Post by chrishal11 »

This is just as I don't remember seeing a poll for a while and am bored. The basic question is Which of the defult editors is your favourite? but as no one can honestly say they can stand the route editors it is "Which of the editors can you bear the most?"

As with most of these polls, it's spurious.

Each Editor is specific to a task - if you're not performing that task you don't use it; if you are, you do, and you have no choice.

Waste of time and space posting this in the first place

Activity editor is the only one that I can get to grips with, well some of time. Just when I think I' ve got licked it bites me.
It is bad enough cocking up a activity that as been your little baby. But to lose a route! ******* hell it would be a fist through the monitor screen !

Kuju must have been having a bad day when they made the Activity Editor, as it's easy enough to use.

As has been said, if you're using one in particular, then you'll get used to it's foibles and reckon it's the easiest.

Haing said that, I think we'll all agree that the RE is perhaps the most complex and hardest to master of the three.

After that I'd say the Cab Editor is the easiest. The hardest part of cab-making is getting the images in the first place. Whether that's photos or rendering, once you've got that the rest is pretty intuitive and falls into place.

The Activity Editor is somewhere between the CE and RE for difficulty. OK, I've learned tricks and stuff, but the hand-made timetable is still a nightmare without a 3rd party add-on... Broken paths can be buggers to fix (and I still can't do it myself). And even the consist editor part is a pain to find... And whoever thought of using the coupler picture to delete unwanted stock from a consist. I had to check a forum before I could take stuff out.

HA! They're all poor, but CE is easiest... And of course Wordpad is used more often than all the others put together. ;)

ConText beats both for Unicode, IMHO, especially with the MSTS template installed.
